Parts should be inspected, de-burred, properly tagged and moved to the next operation in an efficient mannerĪble to detect any issues in machines and make minor adjustments or repairs when necessary Maintain production goals through attention to the machining process from start to finish
Operate two or three machines during normal production CNC Machinist / Operator should feel comfortable as problem solvers and must be able to find solutions quickly and easily Proficient in the use of Tool Room equipment and related measuring equipmentĬapable of working in a superior manner little to no direct supervision. Making in a timely manner while maintaining quality standards Train in all aspects of CNC Machining and safetyĮxemplary attitude towards housekeeping, safety, company policies and fellow Employeesĥ years of CNC Machinist or Tool Room experience with a strong emphasis on CNCĪ working knowledge (written & verbal) of both English and Mathematics Good interpersonal skills and results oriented Meet scheduled dates set by Tool Room Supervisor or Tool Room Team leaderĬommitment to continuous improvement, both in the tools and processes Have strong understanding and knowledge of all equipment and machinery related to CNC tooling and maintenanceĪbility to build new tooling and fixtures, without supervisionĪbility to try out new tooling and engineering changes without supervision Perform daily maintenance on machines including: maintaining fluid levels, emptying chips, wiping down machine to remove coolant, dust and debris.Processes also involve using, reading, and interpreting measuring gages such as, but not limited to, micrometers and calipers to complete and validate work.Assist the Machine Shop Manager in making recommendations with the goal of reducing cycle times, improving machine scheduling, and/or increasing Safety.Inspect complex parts using a wide variety of measuring devices and equipment applying geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.Trouble shooting and repairing equipment when not working properly in addition to identifying root causes of problems and resolving without supervision.Operate CNC machines performing various machining processes such as: drilling, boring, milling, reaming, of various materials.Possess working knowledge of cutting tools including speeds and feeds, boring, reaming, threading, milling, deep hole drilling and turning.
